Young 2s Curriculum
As Toddlers transition into Terrific Twos, communication begins to evolve. One word statements are now turning into two and three word statements. The Young 2s learn from watching others play. Independent play that was side by side becomes a shared experience. Two children start to play with the same toys. Blocks are turned into castles together. Puzzles become a two-person activity. Typically the older of the two will teach their younger playmate how to accomplish the activity. Teachers encourage group play and will provide the words to use to express upset and basic conflict resolution.
